Why does Roster exist?
Roster is a roster of designers looking for work, and the goal is simple: get them hired. Share your work, get found, and connect with the people hiring.
Why should I join?
Roster is built to get designers hired, and it's free. Today you get a high-end, shareable portfolio, with a page of your own and a page for each project. You get found by hiring managers and recruiters who browse The Roster, you can see how many project views and profile views you're getting, and you can build a following. There's also a jobs board of open design roles from verified hiring teams, where you can apply or connect directly. No applications into the void, just your work in front of people hiring.
How do I get an invite?
Join the waitlist with your name, email, and a link to your work, then confirm your email from the message we send (check your spam folder if you don't see it). We review signups and send invites in batches. Each member gets one invite to share with a designer they trust. Designers of every level and discipline are welcome.
Is Roster free?
Yes. Roster is free for designers, and joining, sharing your work, and being found all stay free. Down the road we may add optional extras, like featured placement, and we'll always label them clearly.
How do hiring managers reach me?
Hiring managers and recruiters get a private hiring account, which we review by hand, to browse The Roster. They never see your email address. Someone hiring can send you a short request about a role, and you decide whether to accept. Accepting shares your email with them, and declining tells them nothing more. On your profile screen you'll see how many people hiring have looked at your profile, though never who.
